When he was in his first two months, the smiles were a bit rare. So when we caught them, we got really, REALLY excited and photographed it as much as possible. So here are a few of those photos.

Wisecrack comments coming soon...

Muscle Baby

"Eat your heart out, ladies!"

It is a fearful thing to give muscle baby his bath.

"Where did these powers come from?"

Impressions of my son...

"A certain American president." (Day 2)

"Han Solo in carbonite freeze." (1 week)

"Russell Crowe." (2 weeks)

"The Babe." (1 month)

Aquarium Baby

In May we took Timothy to the Osaka City Aquarium for the first time (in Japanese the name of the place is "Kai-yuu-kan", meaning "Ocean play house"). Yoko loves the place, and just like his Mom, so did Timothy. One of their favorite places was the sardine tank...

So this is the aquarium! Look at the shiny sardines!

Woooow, Mom, look! I think they're pretty cool!

Yeah, I like them! Look at 'em, Mommy!

Aren't they great! Go sardines, Go!

I loved these pictures of Timothy nearly laughing as he watched the sardines so much that I kept them in our digital camera months afterward, haha.

Cherry Blossoms

In Japan after a baby is born, it goes to the mother's family's home and stays inside for a month, basically. It's the Japanese tradition, and you don't want the baby out and about and exposed to all what-not. But we snuck out for a peek at the cherry blossoms on Day 13...

Eskimo love. Mom steals a kiss as boy prepares to whack ball in background.

Family by the fence 1! Family by the fence 2!

Aren't they cute together?

Funny Faces

A sudden fit of inspiration on Day 8...

"Look, I can make my mouth disappear!"

"If I go like this it makes my face look smaller!"

"Now I look like I'm pouting (but I'm not, fooled you!)"

"Innocent bird."

"Yeah, boyyyyy!"

"Don't leave, Papa!"

(Day 12) "Break it down, homey."

"Mischief managed." (Day 19)

"Elf? Hobbit? You decide." (Day 20)

Timothy's first foray into the world of classical music...

Orchestra, on my count... Mezzo fortissimo!

Pianissimo... Forte, Forte! Thunder!

With passion, dominance! Oh heck, I'll just sing it myself.
