Kung Fu Baby

Yoko has taken Timothy home to her parents' place now, and he'll come home to our place in a few weeks. He's a funny kid, sometimes making faces that look like certain people... I'll have to put together a post of those pictures sometime. He may turn out to be a comedian.

Or, a kung fu master...

Yes, while they were still in the hospital (on Day 5), and while Yoko was sleeping, Timothy apparently forgot that I was in the room, and he started going through some kung fu, judo and karate forms. He was pretending to be asleep, but don't let that fool you.

See, he looks innocently asleep, but then the arms form...

What looks like a chin rest is in fact... ninja fingers!

And here comes the kii-yup!

From fighting stance, his dizzying fistwork throws two punches faster than the camera can capture it! (The cheap plastic wall of the crib is doomed!)

After defeating the evil plastic wall, he turns to the next foe (me?) and goes into Judo mode...

Having thrown down his second foe, he follows through, teasing,
"Oooh, was that widdle ol' me?"

Returning to form, he clenches his perfect fists...

In a blur, two more foes fall! Oooooo... uaaaaa!!!

From a "horse stance" he quickly returns to fighting readiness...

"Bring it on!" "Haaaaaaiyaaaaaaa!"

The crane arms go up, and his foes go running...

Victory! Nobody messes with Kung Fu Baby!

Enjoy it while it lasts! He is so cute! I love his kung fu moves. :)
Tonic Neck Reflex– disappears after about four months:
When infants’ heads are turned to one side, they will extend the arm and leg on that side, and flex their arm and leg on the opposite side, as in a fencing position.

"Haha, Kar-Yee!" says Timothy, "That's what you think is going on! Just wait 'til you come visit and try to hold me!"

    Hehehe (^_^)

OK, OK. I'm not much into babies, but I gotta admit that was pretty cute (ugh, can't believe I uttered the "C" word).

Dude, other kiddies beware. Big T is gonna take 'em all DOWN!

Have you ever thought of making this into a flip book while he's still noobish enough of a ninja to *show* us his moves? I assume that after 4 months, he'll be a more experienced ninja and hide his ninja skills from the world and make us *think* that they were just Tonic Neck Reflexs. He's duping us all into thinking that he's merely an "innocent little baby."

    Dang that kid is smart.

    Ramone!

Your baby is cho kawaii!!! I dunno why, but I almost shed a tear looking at the pictures. It's so beautiful to see the miracle of life, I can't imagine what it must be like to be the dad of that child. God has really blessed you and Yoko.

Well, I think I'm going to have to arrange a visit to Japan to test my ninja skillz against your son's kung fu skillz =P

    in His peace,
    Roy

    Ramone, and Yoko,

Thanks for posting all those pictures! Just a cute baby. Timothy just came into this world and he's already a celebrity. Well I guess it wasn't hard when his parents were already stars. Have fun as new parents! What an awesome family!

Those little jerky baby movements are so neat. i remember watching Sophia and realizing she was moving just the same way she had been for months inside. It takes them a while to get used to moving in air instead of water!
